  1. Love a bit of fantasy. I could read the Harry Potter books time and time again. Would love to read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Really must read this one x

  2. My favourite sci if movie is Tron , and love the latest instalment just as much . Favourite detective movie is Seven

  3. Shop Girl by Mary Portas (Autobiography). Sounds a fascinating read how she went from a poor troublesome girl to who she has become now

  4. The first book I would download is Ridley Pearson’s WHITE BONE. A suspense/thriller based on real events about trafficking ivory.

  5. My favourite Sci-fi would be a toss up between Star Wars (the original trilogy) and Dune. My favourite detective film is probably ‘Se7en’

  6. I have never had an e-reader before, always paper! My house is very full of books! I think I would have to try your Thy Kingdom Fall! I like a good sci-fi read 🙂

  7. I would download either one of your books or Maggie Stiefvater’s The Raven Boys because it’s fantasy and science fiction. Aside from cyperbunk, fantasy and science fiction are two of my fave genres.

  8. I like the sound of your Sleepy Hollow horror books. I’ve never owned or used an e-reader before, but if I were lucky this time I’d start with downloading book 1 of your series.

  9. If I am lucky enough to win, and I would really love to win, the first book I would down load would be the new Lee Child book Night School. Lee Child’s writes a good thriller a page turner for times when you just want a good story that won’t tax the brain to much!
The second book would be Jane Eyre as my daughter was recently a stage hand at a play about the Bronte’s and i want to revisit an old friend.
My house is simply full of books as I can’t bare to part with them and a kindle would make storage of all my precious books so much easier.

  10. Wow! I don’t know quite where I would start! I love that with a kindle you can try anything and check out the samples first – I’d probably go for some new fantasy or sci fi, perhaps Robin Hobb because I need to get started on her newer books this summer. Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway. x

  11. I would buy ‘Cosmic Cowboys and New Hicks: The Countercultural Sounds of Austin’s Progressive Country Music Scene’ by Travis D. Stimeling, because I’ve wanted to read it for ages and the kindle edition is just a wee bit more affordable!

  12. M J Arlidge’s book Liar Liar. Have read all others in the series and there fab but not got this one yet

  13. I love every type of book. My kids and I are constantly at the library finding new books to bring home…for them at bedtime and for me after their bedtime.

If I win, I want to download Me Before You. It is a romantic story. I have no specific genre that I stick to. But the reason I want to Diablo this book is because I want to watch the movie that just came out. Any time there is a movie I want to see I have to read the book first. Let’s face it….books are ALWAYS better than any movie remake.

  14. Fav sci-fi movie: Star War. Fav Detective Movie: Sherlock Holmes ! xD ill download liquid cool if i win, and then i download chicken soup.

  15. Ok…this has never been my genre. I just downloaded the free prequel from Amazon….to answer the laser question. Wow! I found myself reading and getting into the story. This is GOOD. I guess this non-fiction, survival story, biography and history reading buff has a NEW GENRE. Thanks, Austin! I will definitely be following you.

  16. Always the hard questions! haha Dectective movie wise, I’m such a sucker for old school Nancy Drew and Sherlock Holmes. Sci-fi wise, The Matrix and my fav sci-fi/comedy is back to the future. Movies have such special places in my heart. but books trump them all!! 🙂

  17. Tired of going to medical appointments and waiting…. Obviously this would be the answer – a long sought after for a resolution – obviously for those that know me, they’d tell you I love Sicence Fiction. With this in mind…. I’d likely choose “The Kings Justice” by Stephen Donaldson

The Kings Justice is the top, in my opinion, one of two new stories released this month – by Stephen Donaldson. It’s a tale of an enigmatic figure known only as Black who goes in search of evil deeds. He has that of certain powers that help him route out evil. He can also sniff out the bad and often trace it back to it’s source.

Hi Sheila. Click on the “Contact” Tab and send me your email. I’ll manually go in and make sure you get credit.

  18. I would LOVE a Kindle! My husband is CONSTANTLY traveling, we never stay at a post long and most of the countries we’re posted to have NOTHING! Many times not even internet, a Kindle would be a lifesaver!

  19. Fav Sci-Fi Movie: The Matrix; Fav Detective Movie: Sherlock Holmes. If I win, the first ebook I will download is Liquid Cool, which is described as a Sci-Fi/Detective thriller; this contest is the first time I’m hearing of Liquid Cool and would want to give it a shot to see if I like it.

  20. I’d like to start on George R.R. Martin books because I kept putting it off for years and I got into Game of Thrones and it got me hooked!!!

  21. thanks for the great giveaway and chance to win Star Wars would be my fav sci fi movie as for detective movie it would have to be Mississippi Burning

  22. Well, since you are doing the giveaway, I would definitely honor that and download Liquid Cool, your cyberpunk series. I’m just starting to read cyberpunk and I find it really good.

  23. That’s a very good question…

Apart from some Austin Dragon ebooks*, I think it would have to be the classic dystopian novel ‘We’ by Yevgeny Zamyatin. It’s been a long time since I first read this, and it’s time to read it again.

*This in no way indicates any ‘sucking up’ to the author.

  24. OMGoodness. What book would I read first? This reminds me of the time my friend took me to a music store on my birthday and told me to pick something—I just stood there completely blank. I would look for something new, something I haven’t read before, a thriller.
    Mary Beth Elderton

  25. WOW. Pick me, pick me! Your next winner!!! Show me the money!!! It would be a dream come true and means more to me than anyone else to win. Starving artist here desperately needs the kindle to work and eat. Winner, winnner. Chicken dinner. A life changing experience. Top of my bucket list. Thank you for the awesomeness, the contest, and generosity. Dear Santa: I’ve been nice. My X-Mas wish this year is to win this contest.
