My foray into the epic fantasy genre began in May 2018 with the release of the first book of my Fabled Quest Chronicles series, Through Titan’s Trail. Back then, it was supposed to be a trilogy—but is anything just a trilogy anymore these days? I released Book 5, Siren Storms of Madness just last month.
Well, as I wrap up the main series with the release of the sixth and final book this year, Kingdom at Titan’s End, I want to get your opinion on a truly stunning trailer I’ve seen for the upcoming movie, The Green Knight. We’ve been fooled before but this one looks worthy of seeing in the movie theater!
I will always be primarily a sci-fi writer but that’s not to say that I won’t write more fantasy novels. There’s no shortage of sub-genres:

I’ve always been intrigued by Arthurian Fantasy. I must say if I remembered this particular story from the legend, I might have tried my own version.

For me this looks interesting, but I can also see long boring bits, sombre music and an almost unsatisfying ending. The cinematography may well be beautiful, being crafted all by computer graphics and things I don’t know about, what I don’t see is a lot of charm about the movie from this clip. Long, slow moving, with plenty of boring bits is what I see.
Actually, Annette, you were quite right. I saw it last night and it was long, slow moving, with plenty of boring bits. Where you were wrong is when you say, “an almost unsatisfying ending.” There was nothing almost about it. I actually fell asleep at the beginning and it was watching the trailer that gave me the beginning I missed.
Yes, Annette, you were right. I saw a particular review and the moment they made reference to another movie I said to myself, “Pass!” However, the one good thing is that the trailer (which was amazing) did inspire a whole new sci-fi trilogy. More to come.
